This is just a brief description of Shane, and little about what I do and who I am.

Shane was born and has lived in the Belleville, Ontario area for most of his life. He is the son of Paul Shier www.pssculptures.com who is a noted artist in the Qunte area.

Shane has always had an eye for art and putting things together. His love of chainmail and things medieval started from playing Dungeons and Dragons which he still plays to this day.

His first attempt at chainmail was a chainmail shirt, which can be viewed at bottom left and center. This piece proved to be a bit heavy and cumbersome to wear, but that did not thwart his drive to make more.

He made a second piece (viewable at bottom right) and then decided to try out some patterns he had seen online, which then lead to him making jewelry. He currently makes earrings, chains, and bracelets, and I'm sure he's going to find more garments, jewelry, and objects to make.

Shane is currently employed at Stream, and works as a technical support agent doing phone support for a large, well-known, US based, printing manufacturer that shall remain un-named...
